Heroes day commemorations to be attended by vaccinated citizens.

The heroes day commemorations will only be attended by citizens who have been vaccinated as the rest of the country continues to adhere to Covid-19 prevention restrictions.

Information, Publicity & Broadcasting minister Monica Mutsvangwa had this to say during a post- Cabinet media briefing yesterday.

“The 2021 main Heroes day commemorations which will be held on the 9th of August at the Heroes acre will be a hybrid event with a small gathering of 200 people depicting the national outlook such as war veterans, spouses of heroes & heroines & the youth” she said

The rest of the country will also commemorate the heroes day as the celebrations will be aired on the national broadcaster & radio stations.

As of 3 August 2021, there have been 110, 855 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 3, 635 deaths reported to the World Health Organization. A total of 2,473, 590 vaccine doses have been administered.
