President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said research and innovation culture unleashed under the Second Republic must permeate across the entire education system.
Commissioning the National Management Training Bureau, President Emmerson Mnangagwa said the institution gives impetus towards unlocking human capital and skills development for the robust implementation of the National Development Strategy-1 (NDS-1) and ultimately the attainment of Vision 2030.
He also said Zimbabweans must embrace technology and utilise the available innovative minds towards economic growth, industrialization and modernisation agenda.
“The research and innovation culture unleashed under the Second Republic must permeate across the entire education system with our local reality and global perspectives in mind.
“My government has underscored the need to increase national production and productivity and this is only possible if we develop a manpower base that suit those demands” said President Mnangagwa.
The new heritage based Education 5.0 ushered in by President Mnangagwa has contributed immensely towards the local production of goods and services, entrepreneurship, empowerment and improved quality of life.
The head of state and government also urged higher learning institutions to remain seedbeds for innovative ideas, inventions and be the hallmark for nation building, growth and development.
